Welcome to Heat Soccer!
The Inver Grove Heights Soccer Association (the "IGH Heat") provides competitive youth soccer (aka 'traveling soccer') opportunities for those living in or near the City of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. We are affiliated with the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). We hope you will easily find the information you are looking for on this site. Thank you!
A Letter from our Association's President
To the IGH Heat Soccer Association families and players:
We hope that you are having an enjoyable and productive off-season and are getting ready for the upcoming holidays. The Heat Board would like to thank all the past and present members for their contributions to our soccer family. As you may be aware, we continue to get inquiries about our club merging with other larger organizations, but we are doing our best to continue providing a great value and a very competitive program at the levels that we participate – as evidenced by the performance of our teams over the last couple of seasons.
We will continue to remain a community soccer club and association that keeps working to offer more options and training opportunities to our members. We have procured more gym time (Monday, Wednesday, Fridays, and Sundays) at Veteran’s Memorial Community Center and our local schools so we can offer off-season training opportunities. We want to strongly encourage you to read our TeamSnap email communications and sign your daughters and sons up for as many activities as possible. We understand that most of our players are in other sports during the fall and winter, and while we encourage participation in multiple sports, the Heat Board and staff have worked hard to secure facilities and to make more soccer training available to those multi-sport athletes. Please make an effort to sign up and make sure that your player takes advantage of the additional field/gym time. Off-season activities are important so we can maintain and improve our level of play to compete with the ever-increasing larger clubs, especially when the larger clubs require year-round participation.
Please check out the Heat’s new TeamSnap website (www.ighsoccer.org) to learn about our new January 2018 offerings: foot skills clinic, open futsal for the younger teams, and FREE goalkeeper training (a January calendar of events is also attached to this email). Please also check the website for a list of 2018 summer teams that could use a few additional players. If you know of anyone who would like to join Heat soccer, please have them get in touch with our Director of Training or our Gender Coordinators.
If you have any ideas or would like to discuss how we can continue to improve our program, please contact any of the Board members listed on our website.
Thank you and our best wishes to you and your loved ones during this Holiday season.
On behalf of your IGH Heat Board,
Gabe Rojas-Cardona, President
